About Raid Lamoille

Raid Lamoille

Lamoille - say it like a local, "lah-moyl" - rhymes with olive oil. Got it?

This ride is hosted out of the Craftsbury Outdoor Center in lovely Craftsbury, Vermont. Since 2012 Raid Lamoille has traversed some of the most sublime gravel in the Northeast. Combine that with an incredible after party and this is one ride you won't want to miss.

Raid Lamoille is what’s been called, “the real deal” - it’s a challenging ride. Whether you choose the 55-mile or 25-mile route, you’ll be treated to some stout climbing on quintessential Vermont gravel. You will be self-navigating and, essentially, self-supported. But there is a great party awaiting you at the finish, with cold craft beer and some tasty grub to match.

General Event Info

Raid Lamoille was created way back  in 2012 by the fertile minds at GRVL Cycling as a gravel ride to share with our friends. Since then it has become a Vermont classic, a must-do for serious gravel cyclists. Originally out of Stowe, in 2018 we moved to Craftsbury.

With route options of 55 and 25 miles, including a No-Drop Ride category, there's something for everybody! See Route info below. On either loop we'll take through the Vermont countryside, down twisty descents, by mountain streams and serve up a heaping helping of some of the best gravel riding to be found anywhere. Did we mention hills? Oh, we've got quite a few of those for you too!

Our post-ride celebration is renowned. With a fantastic spread provided by the Craftsbury General Store and ice cold beer and cider from regional craft brewers it's not to be missed.

So say Lamoille like a local, "lah-moyle", and sign on to ride!
